Although self-healing is our default biological health and rejuvenation mechanism, not everyone adheres to the concept of self-healing.
Some prefer the quick fix of external healing, not caring about the long-term results. Injections of different rejuvenating cocktails, boosters, fillers, lasers, neurotoxins, threads, or liftings suit them well. The results are immediate or after a few days. The therapist and the company promise natural results through artificial techniques, but the results have proven the opposite in the long run. Many revered specialists are already warning about the “pillow face” due to the accumulation of hyaluronic acid in the face. Botuline toxins transform the expression of the face and reduce muscular volume by atrophy. Lasers, HIFU, RF, and plasma heat the dermis and destroy the underlying structures. Initially, the skin looks tight, but sagging is even more prominent after a while. Surgical lifting is not suitable for everyone, and when we sit at the dinner table, lifted and injected faces often pop up as weird.
In some instances, REYU not only delivers better results but also produces them more quickly because it is easier to address these issues from within rather than from the outside. This applies to conditions such as urinary incontinence, hair loss, melasma, acne scars, malar bags, sports injuries, and several others. In these cases, even the most impatient clients prefer REYU over any other technique.
Others dislike their natural appearance and choose to look different from their anatomical and functional constitution. They opt for different nose shapes, thicker upper lips, prominent chins, more defined mandibular angles, a frozen look, or even different eye shapes.
While we might have the impression that these categories are ubiquitous, they represent less than 7% of the population (usually 4%). They are prominently present on social media and attend social life very publicly.
Luckily, a vast majority of the population relies on common sense. This silent group represents more than 60% of the population but is hardly visible. Their profile has striking resemblance: mostly over 50, higher education, responsibilities in their company, some even executive level and C-level management, stable social status, and often a stable family. They refuse artificial interventions, have the patience to enjoy long-term results, and appreciate the process of self-healing. They understand that they will get more results for an affordable investment in the long term.
We call them the “skintellectuals”. These are the ideal clients for REYU.

WHAT ARE SKINTELECTUALS?
The World of Skincare: A Multitude of Variations
The world of skincare offers many variations. The consumer who scours perfume shops in search of the prettiest jars and the most pleasant scents is a classic that has existed for over 100 years.
30 years ago, another variant emerged: those who opt for cheap mass-market products in local supermarkets. The prices are low, and so are the expectations.
The online shoppers who rely on reviews and advice from ‘influencers’ have been a phenomenon of the past 10 years. What works for someone else must work for them too—a strange thought, considering our skin is as unique as a fingerprint.
Recently, we’ve witnessed a new variant: the ‘skintellectuals,’ a true phenomenon. They have replaced emotion and guesswork with critical thinking, leading to tangible results.
Who Are These ‘Skintellectuals’?
They come from all genders and are intelligent, highly educated, critical thinkers who seek out real experts and expect visible results. They value quality products and spend more on average than the mass consumer but are not immediately swayed by the image of luxury brands. They look for ‘intelligent’ brands, designed by dermatologists, and expect professional guidance in high-quality centers. They avoid empty marketing promises and appreciate meaningful innovations supported by scientific data.
What Drives Them?
With 90% of consumers dissatisfied and constantly switching products, these ‘skintellectuals’ aim for consistent results by avoiding blind guesswork. They appreciate personalized products and monitor the outcomes. They understand the value of a customized program and do not blindly copy their colleague’s ‘miracle cream.’
Caution! ‘Skintellectuals’ do not claim to be dermatologists or chemists and rarely read ingredient lists. However, they are critical of advertising and only trust the right experts in fields beyond their expertise.
A Challenge for the Beauty Business
The beauty industry faces a challenge from ‘Skintellectuals’, as it primarily plays on emotions and lacks a connection with consumers’ unique skin types. However, those who manage to convince them with science, results, and knowledge will gain a loyal circle of friends.
